Beta · AmigaOS 3.x

Modern apps for classic Amigas

AmiStudio is a small suite of Amiga apps — a paint program, a modern web browser, Discord in a native window, Google Drive on your Workbench, and a launcher that keeps them updated. Built first for AmiKit on Amiberry (Linux) with Rabbit Hole.

Everything is beta. The preferred install path is the AmiStudio launcher.

What’s in the suite

Five Amiga apps plus a Linux Host that backs the browser, Discord and Google Drive. The launcher puts everything in one self-contained drawer you can copy or delete cleanly.

What you need

Honest requirements for this beta. Host-backed apps need AmiKit on Amiberry today.

  • Amiga side 68020+ with FPU, AmigaOS 3.1+, MUI 3.8+, TCP/IP, and AmiSSL 5.
  • Host-backed apps (AmiSurf, AmiDiscord, AmiDrive) AmiKit on Amiberry on Linux x86-64 with Rabbit Hole. The AmiStudio Host (0.1.9, ~263 MB) runs on the PC, not on the Amiga. Google Drive also needs fuse3 on the PC.
  • Not in this beta The Host does not run on Windows, macOS, or Raspberry Pi yet. WinUAE and real Amigas are not supported for Host features in this beta.

Self-contained drawer. AmiStudio keeps settings, logs, apps, and Host data inside its install folder. You can copy the drawer to another install or delete it without leaving remnants. The exceptions: your Google Drive files live in your Google account, and browser and Discord downloads go to your real ~/Downloads.

Get started

Grab the AmiStudio launcher, unpack it on the Amiga, turn beta mode on in Settings, and let it install the apps and Host for you.
